The aim of Custom Care Trust is to promote the quality of life and dignity of people who require the care of others to survive and the well-being of those who care for them. To that end we help people create highly personalized
manuals filled with tips and guidelines for providing the just-right care as defined by the person in care. Everyone wants to do a good job. But that can happen only when caregivers know how a good job is defined by the person in care.
Some people devalue caregiving as “woman’s” work or unskilled labor. If you’ve ever cared for someone, you know how untrue that is! Caring for someone whether a labor of love, a calling, or a way of earning a paycheck is physically and emotionally demanding. No matter how you see it, a unique bond exists between person in care and person who cares, and in the best possible world, a chemistry of mutual understanding guides the give and take of the day. In fact, research shows that what’s good for the person in care is good for the provider too.
